General Directorate of Guards organised various events on the occasion of Bahrain sports day.

Following the directives from His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister,to allocate half working day for sports activities on the occasion of the Kingdom's official sports day on 13th February, under the patronage of His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, General of the Guards held various sports activities to celebrate this national occasion and to establish the concept of including sports activities in the daily lifestyle in the Guards Training Centre at Safrah. The activities and competitions included Volley Ball, table tennis, tug of war and walking.
Brigadier Waheed Juma Al-Doy, Director General of the General Directorate of Guards honored the winning teams in the competitions and awarded them with medals and shields. He also honored the finalists and outstanding athletes both men & women in the annual physical fitness test of the year 2017.
