Public Security Chief visits Private Guards Training School

Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Al Hassan visited the Private Guards Training School of the General Directorate of Guards on Sunday as part of his field visits to various security departments.

The Chief said the visit was meant to monitor the operations closely and ensure that the adopted procedures offered the best security services to implement the vision and directives of His Excellency the Interior Minister to continue with the modernisation and development plans by improving the training based on the best international practices. 

He thanked the employees of the General Directorate of Guards for their dedication and operations to maintain the national security and urged them to work harder to achieve excellence.

The Chief stressed the importance of reinforcing community partnership and interacting with all segments of society to improve awareness about the risks of crimes and fight them.

During the visit, the Chief inspected the school and was briefed on the operations, the temporary buildings of the school and the designs of the new buildings. He was also informed about the history of the school and its missions, including training, research and development of the private security sector. Besides, he was also, briefed on the organisational aspects such as licenses, the regulation the operations of 41 private security companies and law enforcement.

He urged the school staff to learn from other institutions experiences and seek help from foreign trainers and highlighted the role of private security companies in the maintenance of security.  

The Chief was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Public Security Brigadier Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief of Public Security for Community Affairs Brigadier Mohammed Bin Daina and Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources Brigadier Adel Ameen.
