GTS IN THE PUBLIC EYE...... AWARDS CEREMONY AT SAFETY EXHIBITION.

Hardworking guards staff, who are dedicated to public safety and security training, were presented with certificates at the National Occupational Safety & health Conference and exhibition on 26 / 27 April in Manama.

 

The Commanding Officer & Director of the special Guards Directorate, Colonel Abdulla bin Nasser Al-Noami, presented the awards at the exhibition to staff who were busy promoting the work of the Ministry of Interior Guards Training School.  The exhibition was held at the Gulf Hotel Exhibition & Conference Centre.

 

“Our staff have worked extremely hard to prepare for this exhibition and it is a great honor for us to be here” said Colonel Al-Noaimi.  “ I was pleased to present certificates to our staff to recognize their hard work and dedication”.

 

The Guards Training School, which is a unit of the General Directorate of Guards, were amongst a number of Ministry of Interior formations on display at the exhibition which was opened on 26 April by the Deputy Prime Minister Sh. Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.

 

 
This is the third time Bahrain has hosted the Occupational Safety & health conference which is aimed at promoting health and safety in the workplace coinciding with world labour day on 1 May.
 
The Guards Training School, which is accredited by the London based City & Guilds Institute as an international standard training provider, was formed in 2007 to provide professional security training to civilian security guards and higher level supervisory / management training to security professionals.   By the beginning of May 2016 GTS has successfully trained 4,905 men and women who qualify for Ministry of Interior professional security guard licenses.   All the graduating students are awarded an internationally recognized City & Guilds qualification.
